Back to it

Well Spring Break went pretty well over all, nice and relaxing with a bit of excitement. The sad part is I had to go back to class this week. I kind of(once again) forgot to blog daily, not doing very good on this aspect.

My week had a few highlights tho, including a very special moment in my life... My Tuxedo fitting! Well I guess it wasnt a total fitting as I only tried on the shoes and the jacket. But having so many close friends/family come and help me pick out the outfits we will be wearing was amazing.

This lovely thing here will be what the guys and I will be wearing on May 2. I also picked out a teal jacket or whatever that goes underneath to support my Jags. I know some folks wont really like the mix of colors(Everyone has their teams colors underneath) but its not up to them is it? Anyways it was awesome having the get together, including my friend travis who had to drive 2 hours to get here for a IDK 20 minute event, but it was something I will always remember. We also had dinner at Chilis next door lol.

After that we also finally found a dresser the size we have been looking for. As well as the color/shade and it is decently made(yay wood!) so we of course had to buy it. The bad thing is we found it at a thrift shop and no one to help load it up, so I flipped it over and tossed it onto a dolly, as I was loading it into the back of my parents Durango the drawers started to fall out....I know I should have taken them out but when I first tried they seemed to be in prety well. Anyways some of them cracked and I had to glue them back together and such.... Well here it is in the room now

The reason one drawer is missing is because I was still fixing it, so trust me it looks better now :-p Anyways for the price and everything it was what we had in mind.

Finally the biggest thing was my wedding ring! We placed an order at my local watch shop on monday and they got it in on Wednesday! Pretty awesome, plus since Ive been a very good customer they sold it to me at cost. 

Here is Stephs(newest ring, hopefully final for now lol) and my brand new rings together. I love that they are matching :) Plus I got something Blue and Black/Silver. It fits nicely and well I love it :D

Otherwise it has been a crazy week and I know I have forgotten plenty of things... but whatever :-p

Spring Break!

Well it has been a few days since I have posted, which I knew I would be a bit busy considering it is my spring break! Some days didnt seem as crazy or busy as they should have been or I just dont remember. Other days became highlights, like this pasted Wednesday.

Steph and I drove down to Sacramento and went to their zoo, not the biggest one by anymeans but it was closer/easier and cheaper than going to the San Fran zoo. We planed it out so we would check out the zoo and maybe go to one of the malls as well as dinner.

The day went well after we finally arrived in Sac, as the drive to was a bit sketchy. Just kept having tractors cutting me off as Im going 75mph because well thats totally safe to do! as well as a bad morning pit stop for food... just wasnt going well buuuuut once we arrived at the Zoo the day became a whole lot better.

This beauty was one of my highlights at the zoo, it is the snow leopard, she was just so beautiful! Not to mention she was ready for her close up :) Her tail was SO FLUFFY! I wanted to pet her but steph said that wasnt a good idea -_-

I have a feeling this photo will be too small to really see whats going on but hey I can try and tell you... on the left side you can kind of see this small little creature which is a type of Fox(tunic I think it said?) which is SO cute, has giant ears and just so adorable... it happens to be in the same cage as an Aardvark. Which the little fox guy went into the  aardvarks hole and woke him up and told him to come take photos, so cool!

Steph loves her Giraffes and she did get some photos with the real deal(her phone had the better ones) but this one was still super cute so I figured I would share it with you guys :) Pretty cool metal work which they had a few others around the park.

 Wasnt able to get the best picture of this Lemur chilling in his "hottub" but it was so funny and way too cute not to post. One of his friends came and sat with him as well, it was like a tire or planter and they laid in it with their arms spread out like it was a hot tub. So cool! I love these little guys.

Finally had to show off this sweet tshirt I saw, it was a kids size so I couldn't buy it...I wonder if more Zoos have this? like is it a normal print they just change the zoo name on the bottom? either way it was awesome.

Finally after all the zoo fun we went to the local mall, which was kind of a let down and pretty small to be honest but it was more so just to kill time until we got hungry. Once that happened we ended up going to dinner.... At the Melting Pot :D Which I have to say thanks to Sam/Marie because without them I would have NO idea what this place was.

To make it easy, its a fancy fondue place, which is amazing! We did the 4 course meal. Which means the cheese(appetizer) salad, main course and amazing chocolate dessert to finish it off.
For our main dish we did the seafood trio and the Classic, which I always forget how much I dislike cooked fish these days... So Steph had to eat the tuna and salmon but she was fine with that lol

The dessert was milk chocolate, peanut butter and caramel in which we dipped bananas, strawberry's, rice crispies, brownie bites, cheese cake and well lets just say it was so worth the wait and live up to the hype for steph.

I've also tried cleaning up the garage/guest house so we can turn it into a gym/game room set up which has lead to today, Sol came over and helped me install our punching bag, might have been a bit more difficult to do but hey it works and lets hope the roof doesn't come falling down!

As for the rest of the vacation, I did do some relaxing but we also did some more wedding shopping and steph had some back work done. Almost time to go back to class but it has been a solid spring break. Add in that tomorrow is my Tux day! Going with my groomsmen to try on tuxedos :D

Day forgotten

Yet again I forgot to blog...actually forgot two days I believe?

Anyways Saturday was a pretty lackluster day but I did try and catch up on some of my comic collection, I didnt make a huge dent in it but I have been trying to catch up on The Walking Dead. Im around 30 issues behind I think? Ouch.

Also finished King of the Nerds, sad about the person who won as I wasnt a fan of that person from the start of the game but I mean that person won so whatever. I would love to go on the show but I would get destroyed  lol.

On sunday I went to my friend Sol's house and helped build a bunk bed for his son(it was an early birthday present as well) so that was a pretty good productive day over all. Had some good bro time and talked some games and whatever. Also had some of the Lays ginger wasabi chips which I love.

                   But of course I failed to take a picture of the final product but here is a super cute picture  of me and Harley Quinn

As far as today went, we went and had stephs eyes checked which she has not had done in years so it was a good thing we did as her glasses have been horrible as of late. So she will be getting new glasses in the next week or two and will finally be able to see!

Ive also played some more Rayman Legends(thanks again Microsoft) as well as still being addicted to that Spider Man unlimited or whatever its called on my phone. I also cleaned some of our sheets and blankets... Im not sure what Gus was doing in the photo above tho...

Well thats how my past few days have been, it is spring break so I hope for some cool stories and photos for you soon!

Legends

Pretty calm day for the most part, watched some Face off which again I still enjoy but this episode was a bit meh with the Miss galactic or whatever.

Also played some Rayman Legends on the Xbox One since its the free game of the month. I forgot how awesome the newer rayman games are. I loved origins which I beat on my vita last year and with Legends you can unlock levels from that game plus all the new content. Rayman games are great platformers with soooo much content. Great free title by Microsoft.

Took a nice walk to my parents house, which was a little over a mile. Then Steph & I borrowed my moms car and went grocery shopping, mostly stuff for my smoothies.

I figured I should post a picture, people love pictures :D

So here is Gus enjoying the winter summer here in California.... Wish winter would show up but times running out....

Spring Break

WOOOOO! SPRING BREAK!!! Yeah so today was my last class before spring break :D Now to find something to do. Steph and I really need to go some place and relax, even just for a day trip.

Anyways class went by pretty quickly, nothing hard happened really. For my first class we spent about 5-10 minutes going over our projects and then it was over! Works for me, but some people who had to drive so far probably didnt like it as much as I did lol.

For the last class of the day my nutrition class, we thankfully didnt go over any new material instead we watched a movie titled "Planeat" which I enjoyed. My thing is, I wont ever become a vegan, I love my food of all kind too much lol.

After class steph and I went to my favorite little dinner in Paradise, Kalico Kitchen. They have my favorite coleslaw hands down. Also love their vegetable beef soup, both come with dinner :D

Otherwise its been a pretty calm/slow day. Steph took a nap in which Gus had to join her of course....they look so cute :-p

I forgot to blog yesterday...or I feel like I did anyways, I guess I failed to check lol. So I dont remember all that much stuff but we did go and return something to lowes in chico and had lunch at red lobster because we had gift cards from Christmas still.

I also ended up at the mall which for me means taking a look at Watchman... I have actually never been in when they recieve their new shipment. So it was my lucky day to check all the new ones out, I believe they are called the Heather collection? I feel like thats wrong lol Also some lighting effect looking ones.

I ended up putting the grey heather one on layaway :D

Steph and I are trying to catch up on The Walking Dead as we type/read. So still trying to attack the tivo lol.

Tivo catch up

Well once again I spaced on blogging. I failed to blog at all yesterday but thats honestly alright considering we didnt do too much.

Steph had a doctors appointment but I ended up staying home with the dog and watching some shows on the old Tivo.

However when she came home we did take a trip to her moms and ate some desserts but otherwise yesterday was a pretty slow day.

Today I woke up very tired, I didnt really sleep too well and it was about 5 hours total as is. The time change is still screwing with me and steph didnt go to school this morning so when I woke up it she was still sleeping, making it even harder to wake up. I was able to wake enough to drive to class and listen to some DLC (podcast I love) so thats a plus!

In class I ended up taking the lead in a class project and as I was writing down the answer I tried spelling fail by writing afil. so I was pretty sleepy to say the least lol. I also got back my quiz from last Thursday which was an A so thats awesome!

After class I came home to the electrician at the house, we found the breaker box finally! It was on the corner of the house in the front...by the fence...which is so random that it was basically the one place I didnt look... the Electrician was surprised about its placement too so thats cool. Anyways it was an easy fix! Our power is fully back and the cost wasnt as horrible as I expected.

Otherwise I have spent time catching up on Gotham which has still been pretty decent over all to me. I have several episodes left before Im officially caught up but still Im trying!

All caught up on Face off, I still enjoy this show. The latest episode with clive barker was awesome loved almost all of the make ups.

Stephs Bachelor show is finally over lol Its so horrible yet so entertaining...I hate myself lol

Party Down South is the reason why not to drink and party... makes my head hurt lol

The Amazing Race this I actually do enjoy. I love the idea of this show/game/whatever. Would love to travel the world and have a shot at winning prize and money. I know it still is a reality show but its so much better/cleaner? than the other crap I watch lol.

anyways I'm now sitting with steph watching(and of course blogging lol) Survivor. I need sleep tho..

A wedding and some planing

I didnt get around to posting anything on Saturday because I was home super late after spending a lovely time at my friend Bretts wedding. It was super amazing.

Crazy to go to a wedding while planning one too, things you didnt think about or just wondering how much they paid versus what we did or whatever. Just really a cool feeling knowing that mine is right around the corner.

Afterwards Steph and I went with some friends to one of the casinos and it was Stephs first time, we didnt do much but we had a fun time hanging out with my best friends. There was a little bit of drinking and some cool live music from this old dude playing a guitar, sadly no photos :(

As far s today went, we kinda had a slow day because of the time change and everything plus steph was a little sleepy from the drinks the night before lol. We did head down to a meeting with our Wedding DJ and finally was able to pay him some.

Then some veggie burger lunch action, I had been crazy a veggie burger because Steph had one last week and I had some horrible fish n chips from the same place. At the wedding we both put down for veggie burgers but I was literally the last person to get food and apparently I missed my chance at the veggie pattie...Soooo today that craving was even stronger lol. I really do love veggie burgers.

Otherwise I have been watching the Jaguars/NFL Free Agency going on now. Jags looking to sign TE Julius Thomas(from the broncos) and Cowboys RB Demarco Murray. Sad that McCourty has resigned with the Pats :( Crazy deal pending for Suh and the Dolphins.

Also just reported(Not sure if its trustworthy tho) that the 9ers are looking to trade their QB(colin) so thats crazy!

And finally we are catching up on some tv because our Tivo apparently wants to delete everything lol.

Slow Catch up

Pretty slow day over all. We did have an electrician come out to try and help figure out whats wrong with the power outlets/light/range hood and he did it for free but couldn't figure it out in the short time he was here but it made me feel better that it wasn't just me who couldn't find the breaker box deal lol

Went over to my parents house so I could do the pills for my dad, crazy how many things he is on... but I have got the time down to a little over an hour. Also starting to memorize the names of them, some are just insane and I doubt I'll ever really get them all down.

Mom baked some cakes too so have cake for the next few days :D German Chocolate and a Yellow cake as well.

I caught up on King of the Nerds, I really enjoy it...I know some people look down on it or just dont care about it but I love trying to take part in the trivia and such. Its just a guilty pleasure for me over all.

Also watched some Gotham episodes finally. I have I believe 9? on the tivo or so. Going back to November I believe it was. Anyways the show still has some very good aspects. Im just not big on selina's character in the series.

Otherwise it has been a pretty quiet and easy day.

Ring time

Today started off great! I ended up passing my Psychology test(from last Thursday) getting an A! Which was just a total shock but a welcome one. I also ended up doing well on my Nutrition homework which was nice to see.

Went to lunch with steph afterwards and had my favorite food... SUSHI! We went to the rice bowl, not really our favorite but they are open all day which helps. I do realize why we dont go to this one often but the server/lady is very...interesting  lol

They do have one of if not the only fried roll I like. The godzilla.





We finally had good luck at JCPenny and steph got the ring she wants, lets hope its worth the hassle that was JCPennys.

Then finally I paid on my newest watch from the watchmen, it will be my very first Frogman from GShock(which is from casio) Its on layaway so it will not be able to join the others in my collection just yet but... here she is!

Double Duty

I posted twice today if you are reading this! I forgot to post yesterday so I had to do one this morning....

Went to burger-hut and had their fish & chips, man totally sucked. But steph got their veggie burger and I totally know what I'll get next time as it was super good.

Also picked up some stuff to organize the kitchen. I really do like Lowes, fun store but man it makes me want to do crazy things lol Build and destroy...spend money...all kinds of stuff.

Had some ice cream at Pile it High.

You know it really was a slow day that I feel was over all still good lol

Day late

I spaced on writing up a post last night, it was a pretty long day after all.

Class went by pretty fast, I ended up with a 73 on my Nutrition class which honestly is better than I expected.  For my Psychology she said we would get them back on Thursday.

Now we ended up going straight home because we would be selling Steph car! Crazy! I'm still in shock that the car is gone, it just feels weird. But we got what we wanted for it and she went to a friend. I wrote up a little contract just to be safe but man does it feel weird to say bye...

Then we ended up once more going down the hill to chico, which man writing these blogs I realize I really do go down there a lot lol.

We went to see if we could find some JackFruit for the wedding because I have found a vegan pulled pork recipe and Id like to give it a try before the big day and well just feel better knowing we have food for my veggie loving friends. But no luck on that front but we did get a few leads to other stores.

The main reason we went shopping was to get my friend Brett a wedding gift so we ended up at bed bath and beyond since they registered there. I do not believe he nor his soon to be wife Ashly read my blog but just in case I will keep what we got them a secret. But I did do some of the wrapping! With Stephs help of course lol.

Finally we went to Khols and I was able to find two new dress shirts since we have 2 weddings to go to and well I just really needed some new "fancy" clothes :) Thankfully Khols actually had a big and tall section. Its so rare for me to find clothes in stores.

To end my night and the reason I forgot to make a post is because I watched the pilot episode of "The Last Man on Earth" on Fox. It was overall a pretty funny pilot and I'm glad it didnt seem too rushed. One thing which I wont spoil and maybe if you have seen advertisements or knew about the show more than I did, you might know it. But something major IMO happened and it did change the show from what I had expected. But looking forward to what they do next and hope it stays funny.

Comics!

Well I've still been feeling a bit sick but today was a semi productive day over all, as I typed that I actually realize it was a bit better than I original figured.

I cleaned out the fridge today because something was leaking so the fridge is clean and well kind of on the empty side but still felt good cleaning it out and taking out the trash.

Took dad to his doctors appointment which went well and then we had Popeyes chicken which I always enjoy lol.

And finally I went to my local comic book shop and picked up my box(order) which I took a few pictures to kinda show you what I have going on at the moment.

 with these two photos you see I have my walking dead still going as well as plenty of Marvel and some DC titles.

 

I have to be honest with you guys, I'm so far behind in reading my comics its not even funny. I need to spend some time with them soon but I also really need to find a good way to organize all of my issues and series.

I have been thinking of buying a Legal size filing cabinet to turn into a comic book storage unit and Steph has also said I really need to find something... So the idea pictured above sounds awesome and kind of easy/cheap depending on what one I look at.

Anyone have any other ideas besides longbox storage? I also have A LOT of comics.

Some days will just not live up to days of the past. Yet we can't just sit and waste our lives being so concerned about what we did wrong and what we wish we could have done to fix it all.
